Therapy for Caregivers, High Achievers, and Adults Navigating Trauma

Do you notice that difficult or traumatic childhood experiences continue to influence your relationships, emotional reactions, or sense of self today?

Are new life stages, such as career pressure, parenting, caring for aging parents, or

personal transitions, bringing unresolved memories or stress to the surface?

I’m Claire, a Calgary trauma therapist dedicated to supporting thoughtful, self-aware adults who want to better understand themselves and create meaningful change.

Many of the individuals I work with grew up with emotionally immature, critical, or

unavailable caregivers and are now striving to build healthier relationships with

themselves, their partners, and their families.

Therapy can offer a grounded space to slow down, explore your experiences with

compassion, and develop practical tools for emotional regulation, resilience, and self-trust.

Trauma-Informed Therapy Approaches

My work integrates evidence-based and experiential modalities including:

● EMDR therapy for trauma and post-traumatic stress

● Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy

● Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

● Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness

Together, we focus on building self-compassion, strengthening present-moment awareness, and reducing the impact of past trauma on daily functioning.

My practice is also informed by lived experience related to religious trauma, patriarchal

systems, parenting, pregnancy loss, family illness, and complex life transitions,

allowing me to offer therapy that is both clinically grounded and deeply human.
