Do you feel frustrated that difficult or traumatic experiences from childhood seem to stick with you and impact how you cope in your day to day life? Are you finding a new phase of life has brought up past events that dominate your thoughts and reactions?

I'm Claire, a therapist dedicated to supporting you through the challenges of life transitions. I support folks who are under pressure from career demands, aging parents, growing children and the stresses of modern life. I act as a guide for self-exploration and create a space for nonjudgmental curiosity about the ways your past impacts your present quality of life. Those I support often grew up with emotionally immature parents who were self-involved, emotionally unavailable or extremely critical, and are trying to do things differently for themselves, their partners or their children.

My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Trauma Sensitive Mindfulness to help you nurture self-compassion, accept your thoughts and feelings, and stay present. I commit to co-creating a space for growth and understanding your unique experiences. My lived experience with patriarchal systems, religious trauma, parenting, pregnancy loss, aging, and family illness inform my practice. I'm here as a witness and supportive ally as you navigate this time and can provide tools to help you get to know yourself better and rediscover your inner balance and stability.

  • Therapy In Person

    I offer in-person therapy at Riverwest Therapy Collective in downtown Calgary. Sessions are $160/hr. My office is wheelchair accessible and is near transit and the McDougall Parkade.

  • THERAPY ONLINE

    I offer online therapy to residents of Alberta and Ontario. Sessions are $160/hr. If you don’t see availability in my schedule that works for you, please send me an email so we can see if we can find a time.

  • GROUP THERAPY SERIES

    I provide 6-8 session series of group therapy on specific issues like Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness, Caregiver Support and Recovering from Religious Trauma.
